Coffee mill well kit base and mechanism sold separately. - Cast iron wheel mechanism has plastic gears in top section and includes small metal knob for base.
- Oak coffee mill well kit includes all the precut pieces you'll need to make this project.
Cast Iron Crank Grinding Mechanism (Shown on right above) and Coffee Mill Well Kit. Coffee mill well kit base and mechanism sold separately. - Grinding mechanism is a reproduction of a traditional antique-style coffee grinder.
- Mechanism includes small metal knob for base.
- Oak coffee mill well kit features a molded edge base and shaped and lipped drawer front. Just glue the precut pieces together!
The small drawer knob referred to in the instructions for the kits is now metal and included with the mechanism 41846 (Wheel type) and 41859 (Crank style). Please Note: Mechanisms are functional but intended for decorative use. A small amount of iron shavings may occur in the initial grinding process. These will decrease with use. To minimize the amount of shavings grind a first batch of beans on finest grind, discard grounds, then wash and dry the mechanism thoroughly before use. Paper filters are recommended when brewing.
