Unlike generic emergency dialers, the 3-Input Telemergency Alert Device allows you to record customized messages in your own voice. If you're on the receiving end of the distress phone call, you can activate the base unit's speakerphone function, allowing you to hear what's going on in the home or speak with the person needing assistance directly. The 3-Input Telemergency Alert Device is incredibly easy to hook up, requiring a one-time setup that takes about 20 minutes. To activate the automatic dialer system, all your loved ones have to do is press a button on the wireless pendant or the base unit. Special tones confirm that the unit is dialing for help. A "stop" button is also provided in the event of an accidental press.
This auto dialer is totally self-supporting. You won't have to pay any monthly fees, apart from the home or apartment's existing phone service. No second phone line is required. Range for the wireless transmitter is approximately 140 feet from the base.
The automatic dialer also comes with pre-printed post cards that you can send to the emergency contacts explaining what the Telemergency is and how to activate the speakerphone feature. Just fill in the address, add a stamp and drop them in the mail.
Note: The pendant is NOT water resistant and should not be worn in the shower or bath.
